I always use chat GPT, and I think it's awesome! However, I decided to not use it as the TAs recommended it. I think this is a great exercise to learn how to think in related to safety and ways to governance, so I spend 20 hours for this assignment!
First, describe a biological engineering application or tool you want to develop and why. This could be inspired by an idea for your HTGAA class project and/or something for which you are already doing in your research, or something you are just curious about.
Using multi-omics approaches in designing and or finding the key drivers of a phenomenon in the body with the help Large Language Model (LLM).
This will be an open-source software tool designed to integrate and analyze data from multiple "omics" sources (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, etc.). It would leverage existing, bioinformatics databases (NCBI GenBank, UniProt, KEGG, Reactome, etc.) and use it as an input on demand for Large Language Model (LLM) which uses it to explain and or discuss an area.
We will design some logics that allows the LLM to indirectly pull required data from various databases. We can go one step further and create a system that can directly interact with databases which has more autonomy.
It will help accelerating discoveries and engineering which will help in curing diseases, finding mechanism etc.
It will help those that are not expert in this area have a productive interaction with bioinformatic related tools
It can possibly run automatically with a task, and it can try different solution and provide the results base on evaluation
